    Hell, I LIKE FLOYD.

He is a once in a generation fighter.

But, if I was in a lab and I was holding DEFINITIVE, INCONTROVERTIBLE PROOF Money cheated....

Step one would be phone calls to media with my bank routing number.

Step two would be me on a beach somewhere with cobalt blue water, snow white sand, and umbrella drinks that come once every 5 minutes.

Floyd is a C-level celebrity outside of the boxing ring. He was never a compelling figure outside of the ring. He’s not charismatic or interesting to anyone who doesn’t have an account on this message board (and even then). Look at his final fight with Berto. He only did slightly better in PPV numbers than did GGG/Lemuix (and that was an abysmal failure).
Lance was a transcendent figure bc of his cancer story.
Additionally, he rode for the US Postal Service, so they were able to hit him with “defrauding the government”, which meant they could go after him for triple of what they paid him. Plus, lance had ruined lots of innocent people’s careers with libel.

Point being, Floyd made vegas lots of money by being their #1 heel. For all of his ******ity & boringness outside of the ring, Floyd is a technical wizard inside. He spent the first 10 years of his career learning that the winky Wrights & Chris Byrds of the world don’t get paid or remembered.
So he created a WWE persona, and sold it well for the last decade.
        Good for him.
But once the final bell rings, no one cares about Floyd. When he went to jail, did anyone not on here care?
Maybe to a small contingent of the fan boys who buy money team t-shirts & ball caps? Who knows?

Point being, the headline: “Floyd mayweather caught using steroids” wouldn’t sell ad revenue for ****. Look at all of the high profile athletes who’ve been caught over the years. No one cares unless there’s more to the story (a la Lance).

If Floyd cheated, and a compelling story exists, it’ll come out eventually.
Otherwise, I hate to tell you OP, outside of this message board and maybe Neanderthals like lil boozy & LeBron, ain’t nobody curr.
        That's an absolute lie.

Floyd Mayweather failing a drug test would be a HUGE story.

And USADA helping him cheat would make it one of the biggest scandals in US sports history.

        This is obvious.

Why were these athletes failing such a big deal:

        Barry Bonds
        Marion Jones
        Mark McGwire
        Alex Rodriguez
        Roger Clemens
        Ben Johnson
        Justin Gatlin
        Tyson Gay
        etc.

In 2016 he was ranked #26 on the MOST FAMOUS ATHLETES IN THE WORLD poll, only behind 3 athletes from the major US sports (Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant). The only other Americans on the list were Tiger Woods (7), Rhonda Rousey (23--somehow), and Serena Williams (right before him at #25). Most of the list is full of soccer players.

        • You cant prove he was on anything. But you also cant deny he was kind of shady. They way he would announce fights super late then decide when testing begins as if he owns USADA like its a private organization. he literally gets to decide when hes tested.

Then the 750ml Iv when he doesnt even cut weight. These are all su****ious things even though im a big fan of his,im not saying hes a cheat but alot of these boxers are probably on something so if floyd was doing something too its really not that surprising. Fans need to stop being naive.

            etc.
Marion Jones & Barry Bonds & McGwire were still active athletes, moron.
Who the hell cares about any of those people outside of the few weeks these stories trended. It was made bigger by the fact that it was new.
And the only story with McGwire was that he pleaded the fifth. It wasn’t massive news outside of baseball. Bonds was still cracking homeruns when he was outed by canseco.
It was also a time when George Bush announced in his state of the union that his admin would be “cracking down on steroids in sports”.
I know bc my buddy sold to the Vanderbilt football team that year, got raided by the FBI and hit with every felony under the sun bc, as his lawyer put it, he “picked the wrong drug in the wrong year to possess & distribute”.
2017 is a different era. No one cares anymore. If you can’t take a look at the NFL and see rampant steroid abuse, then you’re a ****ing idiot.
It was a big deal back then.
These days? No one cares outside of sports fanatics.

            Use your brain.

If Lil Wayne was caught cheating on his wife tomorrow, it might register with a few fans & casuals. But it wouldn’t be a major story (same w Bill Clinton getting caught cheating again).
If ***** or Bush got caught cheating, it would be MASSIVE news bc those dudes actually seem like they love their wives.

I don’t know if Floyd ever cheated, nor do I care.
            And that’s the point.
Casuals wouldn’t care about finding out that Floyd is a cheater. His reputation is not exactly squeaky clean.
Dog bites man—man bites dog anyone?
This is probably going over your head. It’s okay.

I know you want people to care about Floyd. They don’t. He’s gone (maybe he’ll need money (or fame) again someday.
This is what got lance busted. He came back, and that allowed the investigation to be re-opened. His ego did him in.

Floyd hired Memo Heredia AND Alex Ariza.
Does that not register with you at all? If the truth came out, would anyone be surprised.
            Maybe morons & nutriders.

Here's the thing. Every time I point out this contradiction, no one says anything.

So many accuse him of announcing fights late so that he can cycle off PED's before training camp.

Then they say he masked PED's the day before the fight.

So which is it? Is he cycling off before camp, or is he juicing up until the day before? Mind you, he passed 17 tests before the IV on May 1st.

Floyd didn't hire Memo, you idiot.

And if you think it wouldn't be a big story if he was caught using PED's, you got your head stuck so far up your ass that you can't see straight.

Your first line talks about Jones and Bonds being active athletes. WHY THE **** WOULD MAYWEATHER FAIL A TEST IF HE IS NOT ACTIVE, YOU COMPLETE IMBECILE.

YOU DUDES NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL.

YOU COMPARE FLOYD MAYWEATHER GETTING CAUGHT WITH PED'S TO LITTLE WAYNE CHEATING ON HIS WIFE???

YOU'RE ONE OF THE DUMBEST POSTERS I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. SERIOUSLY.

AND YOU CONVENIENTLY SKIP OVER HOW MASSIVE THE STORY WOULD BE HAD IT BEEN FOUND OUT THAT USADA HELPED. NO, I'M SURE THAT WOULDN'T BE A STORY AT ALL.

WHAT THE **** DO YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN TO USADA YOU BUFFOON, AND THEN TO THE OLYMPIC PROGRAM? AMERICA COULD POSSIBLY BE BANNED FROM THE OLYMPIC GAMES IF USADA WAS FOUND TO BE HELPING ATHLETES CHEAT.

HOW ABOUT YOU USE YOUR BRAIN, IF YOU HAVE ONE.

All caps makes you righter. You seemed to have internalized this in your internet message board postings.
This thread is about Floyd cheating, genius.
Do you not know that the money is in staying one step ahead of the testing. If you’re a chemist, who’s your daddy?
Well, we know who yours is.

One thing you were right about, and I was wrong about was Floyd hiring Memo. This was trending around the PAC fight, and I should have verified, but didn’t.
I did some digging, and found the following quote (pasted at end). Make of it what you will given Memo’s record.
It doesn’t mean Floyd knowingly cheated, but it does look su****ious on his S&C coach’s part.
In any event, you’re the one who is switching the topic to USADA fraud. This is about Floyd cheating USADA.

Lance never tested positive (that I know of). He was legally pressured into admitting that he did. Instead of pleading the fifth, and going away (less major story), his ego made him fight it.
If Floyd has some story come up, Haymon will have him plead the fifth, and there is no story here.

Okay, you win. I’m done arguing with a wall.
You like Floyd a lot. We get it.
I’m headed back to school per your rec.

Alex and I, you know, we met recently. He consulted with me as the strength conditioner for Floyd for this coming fight. So we sat down and we had a good conversation, very long, and we talked about conditioning things and possibly some other projects. You have to prepare your guy the best possible way you can and then just let the boxers determine their fate with whatever strategy they follow in the ring. Once they're in the ring, there's nothing else a strength conditioner can do but just watch and trust that all the work that went in will pay off in the ring. You want to make it so perfect that you want to be sure you cover every area specifically that you can. Like for example, right now, Pacquiao has four strength conditioners right now on his side. So let's see what happens in the next days. It's a game where you have to be perfectly fit for this fight. I mean, this fight is huge. This fight is the biggest fight everybody wants to see, so I think it will be important for Floyd to be physically fit perfectly, and of course Pacquiao is going to be physically fit, so it's going to be nice.

BT: So just to clarify, you're not actually working with Floyd Mayweather at this point, but you have had conversations with Alex Ariza on certain matters regarding Floyd Mayweather, correct?

AH: Well, yes, he consulted me in some areas and then asked me to describe some possible things we could work with Floyd for this fight. You know, what angle I would take with Floyd for this particular fight. Obviously Alex and I have been against each other when he had Pacquiao and I had Marquez. You know, he's a great guy. He respects me and he respects my work and he admires my work, and I respect his and I admire his. We have two different systems. He has his own system and I have my system, but at the end of the day, it produces results. Now one thing that we discussed a lot is about presenting power punching for Floyd.

Good job admitting you're wrong. You're wrong about a lot of other shyt too, but hey.

Apparently you haven't been paying attention. The accusation is that USADA helped Floyd to cheat. You don't want to discuss that because that makes it even more clear that you're wrong.

And Lance did test positive. His samples were retested and came back positive. He also had su****ious samples that the UCI hid for him. USADA had a shlt load of evidence on him. It's not because he tried to come back. They were on his ass! You can find the court brief online. Here is part of USADA's statement:

The evidence of the US Postal Service Pro Cycling Team-run scheme is overwhelming and is in excess of 1000 pages, and includes sworn testimony from 26 people, including 15 riders with knowledge of the US Postal Service Team (USPS Team) and its participants’ doping activities. The evidence also includes direct documentary evidence including financial payments, emails, scientific data and laboratory test results that further prove the use, possession and distribution of performance enhancing drugs by Lance Armstrong and confirm the disappointing truth about the deceptive activities of the USPS Team, a team that received tens of millions of American taxpayer dollars in funding.
It wasn't about pleading the 5th. They were relentless and he had nowhere to run!
