    Why not Porter VS Peterson?

Porter has I believe the WBC silver title and Peterson has the WBA Regular. Both are number one contenders to the WBA and WBC belts held by Keith Thurman. So instead of having Thurman fight both of them (although both would be sick fights), why don't Porter and Peterson get it on for the opportunity to become the outright contender to Thurman's titles? It's a great fight imo and would ensure Thurman only fights one of them, leaving space for Spence in fall 2018 or is boxing just ******ed?

Cause why would they risk their status if they can get overpaid to fight bums? Thank you Al Haymon!

why should Peterson give up his mandatory position to fight porter and risk losing his mandatory position?

      makes no sense at all.

it's not Petersons job, to make Thurman have to go through less fighters.

Thurman wanted to be the man and now he is.
      wbc mandatory is porter
      wba mandatory is lamont
ibf champ Spence wants to unify.

Thurman has to run the gauntlet, no easy way out.

Heard a rumour Peterson was gonna drop his title and face Spence in Dec/Jan.

Im down with that. Peterson is smaller, but he is a hell of an inside fighter, the best Spence will have faced so far.

Would be very exciting while it lasted

I doubt Peterson wants to risk his shot at Thurman

There is no reason they couldn't fight if they both came to terms and agreed to fight. Peterson was knocked out by Matthysse. I think Porter would also knock him out. Porter came very close to beating Thurman. He is a fast hard attacking powerhouse and too much for Peterson in my opinion. When Peterson fights the best he usually loses as he did to Bradley, Garcia and Matthysse.

The reason I'm saying it because if Thurman does return next year Q1, he might fight a tune up, then fight Porter second half of 2018, then Peterson first half 2019 and we won't see him V Spence until what, late 2019?

If Thurman comes back and goes straight to Porter first half of 2018, then Peterson second half, we won't see Spence until early 2019

So why not just have Thurman fight the winner of Porter/Peterson in 1st half 2018 then a unification with Spence 2nd half 2018?

Thurman won't fight 3 times next year, nobody does

I'd love it Tom, a gritty inside war. Neither man will stop each other, it'll be a 12 round war

                    Horn vs Porter

How about Horn vs Porter. I think Porter deserves a shot at another title the WBO.
