    Backyard boxing

Ok me and my friends want to get together and beat the hell outa each other. Since we really jsut want to do this on the weekends and keep our good looks we decided no need to get all brutal and are gonna use gloves, headgear, and of course mouthguards. Anyway what i really want to know is what wieght glove should i get, i just started shopping today and local shops basiclly have 14 and 12 oz gloves... which would be better?

if u wanna knock the **** out of eachother get 12 ounce. it lets u throw a lot of punches, very fast. 14 ounces lets u get a bit more power but u prolly wont hurt anyone unless the other guys a ****** and doesnt know he should try to move away from a BIG punch. have fun

Get 16 oz gloves. You guys arent doing it to be world beaters so keep it safe. And trust me, when you get tagged with a 16oz glove your going to feel it big time. Trust me, they dont cushion all that much.

And try this. I did the same thing u guys are gonna do when i was a teenager, and from doing it so much we learned a bunch of fun things u can do with boxing.

1: IF u have a fence with a corner, one guy gets in the corner and trys to fight his way out. this was a ****load of fun, A LOT more fun then it my sound.

2: If u have a big back yard this wont work. i had a tiney back yard so this worked well. Its basically normal boxing but u can push off really hard. so u can push someone against a wall and then just wail on him. its really fun.

3: And without gloves. body shots can be full out punches and face shots are slaps. i mean these are ur friends, u dont wanna hurt anybody. this is prolly the boxing game we played the most. once u get used to swithing up slapping and punching, u'll see a TON of awsome combos get it. its almost funny how cool it looks. I remember i was hittin my buddy really hard in his stomach, forgot to open my fist, and just pounded him in the face with a punch. he was out cold. never do that. scary as ****.

it doesnt hurt that bad. but yea, these things arent pillows, which they may look like. i do remember when i first got nailed with a good punch, and u prolly will to. kinda stunning, but ull get used to it. nothing to worry about.
