  • Comments Thread For: Jacobs: Heading To HBO Was Best Thing I Could Do For Career

Danny Jacobs is heading back into the ring, determined to build off a defeat that, in many ways, was a victory. Jacobs will fight Luis Arias on Nov. 11 at the former Nassau Coliseum, now called NYCB Live, his first bout under a promotional agreement with Ed Hearn that he hopes will lead him back to a title. Last March at Madison Square Garden, Jacobs lost a close decision to Gennady Golovkin. It was the first time Triple G went the distance, and Jacobs held his own throughout the 12 rounds.

I dearly hope that it pays well also for DJ. Since I am a fan too.

I’m stoned right right now laying in bed getting ready to for work at 430am and thought to myself as i read the article.... how sick would a 3 way round robin between gGg Canelo and Jacobs be.. imagine these 3 guys fighting each other multiple times in the next 3-5 years.

I still think it's gonna be hard for him to get the Canelo payday.
if he was gonna sign with a promoter he should of signed with golden boy promotions.
It's gonna be hard for Al Haymon fighters to get Canelo pay days

I don't think so. HBO signed him as an opponent for Canelo or GGG.

Yeah. And the same way golden boy has been trying to get GR Jr for JoJo Diaz.
Both Khan and Chavez are both way more marketable than Jacobs.
So it'll be hard to get Oscar to agree to Canelo-Jacobs without him getting something in return.
                Make sense??

I know what you mean but Oscar has the final say so not HBO or Canelo.
