I think Mikey is just trying to get paid & get out. So towards Mikey's boxing goals I think its a good move for him IF he can get it for the right payday. If he can't get the payday he wants for it it isn't gonna happen & I suspect Mikey is gonna want his value & then some to get that fight which doesn't likely make sense for the Cotto side.

Mainly I just find these last Cotto fight opponents being talked about as funny cuz neither guy is at the weight Cotto is at currently & there are a sh^tton of interesting guys at that weight that aren't even in the discussion & til recently the whole top ten pretty much didn't have a fight scheduled.

      Agree 100% with this.

Mikey is setting up his life after boxing in boxing. Most cats are just boxing cuz it pays money no one else will pay them for their skills. The average title holder probably hardly thinks about tomorrow in any serious way or just thinks it'll all work out cuz they believe there biggest paydays are always in front of them despite where there career is at now good or bad.

Mikey is gonna be a guy who has his best years post-boxing while the highlight of most boxers lives are in the ring.

Cotto trounces both of these guys. Not bad options.

I think it's a great fight for Cotto as he still has some decent reflexes and will constantly be a step ahead of Lemieux. Will be a really good looking win to go out on since Lemieux is seen as a dangerous opponent.
