Good fight . Messed up that Lomachenko wouldn't meet Rigo at 126 . Rigo's a small dude . Size might be the difference in this fight because their skills match up pretty evenly .

arum was the one talking $h1t after he beat up donaire. All the names around Rigondeaux weight ran from him or used the excuse that Guillermo was boring. They just went with arums comments... frampton, quigg, mares, st+, they all ran away from the Cuban, Can you imagine if all those fighters would have grown a pair and fought the "Chacal"? By the way he didn't say no, he offered a catch weight or a hydration clause.

Rigondeaux just needed a push. A two time Gold medalist, won every tournament you can mention as an amateur. Was arrested in Brasil along with Lara trying to defect. Took him a couple of years and he finally came to the States. I think arum missed an opportunity to create a Superstar here.

remember when roc nation gave rigo a chance to shine on the big stage the cotto vs canelo undercard rigo totally stunk out the building. rigo screwed his career up himself. his fights have fans literally leaving the arena lol I don't think there's a promoter out there who could turn him into a draw.

No. rigo needed to be more offensive. fans aren't interested in his safety first style. its his fighting style. he was never going to be a superstar.

I'm going with a draw or majority decision, either way. Each guy is so used to connecting easily will now find the other guy too illusive to consistently land on. And the guy who adapts best to not being as effective as they were against lessor opposition and is able to change up a little, could win. I'm not sure who that fighter will be. But even though this wont be a war, it will a very good and interesting fight for purest's. I dont see either guy posturing or a slow pace at all so I think this will live up the the billing of not being a war, but being scintillating as each guy tries to out-think the other.

I’m extremely surprised Rigos promoter & manager would go for Arum deal to step up 2 weight classes to fight one of the craftiest boxers today. Are they all cashing out on Rigo?
