Arias has some tools, but even if he's an ex amateur standout... he's only 5 years along whereas Jacobs is 10 years in, fought much better competition, has overall better skills. And as for Arias in the Magomedov fight, I rarely see a fight stopped that prematurely.

Lemieux, Saunders and Chavez Jr all turned him down. He is trying. I'm not so sure those guys would beat Arias anyway.

You are right that there are slim pickings at MW but there is HBO money which you would think that would had attracted a better fighter
