All the Judges were tainted
I've watched the fight three times and honestly I saw Golovkin winning an easy decision. Too much corruption even in the media who want a big money rematch so bad that they are changing the perception of the first fight. How in the world can anyone but a Canelo nut hugger score enough rounds for Canelo to make it "close"? Canelo had a few minutes in a few rounds and thats it! He ran and covered up almost the whole fight!! Even the corrupt judges who kept it close,(Byrd was just totally bought or incompetent) Look at the scoring and watch the round they gave to Canelo, what a stretch. Surviving a round doesn't win it!

What made it look close was that Canelo took some rounds off and let ggg put that pressure on him. Kudos to ggg and his stamina... that was impressive but although ggg put on the pressure, he was ineffective. Landed most of his punches on the winds chin not canelos. Canelo boxed ggg beautifully all night, even when he took breaks, he never took damage. Canelo caught ggg with tons of body shots, countered him with hooks and uppercuts all night and when Canelo engaged... it wasn't even close ggg was a lost man when Canelo threw. Problem is he didn't throw enough but I still think he won...

that may be YOUR perception
e.g.
you said this..... Canelo clearly won (round) 3
and yet, 2 of the 3 judges gave that round to Golovkin
so, what do you mean by..... " clearly won " ?
because, had Don Trella scored that round for Canelo, as you suggested..... then Canelo would have won the fight
all I am saying is, that fight was close as hell, and extremely difficult to score..... so not sure if the words "clearly" and "convincingly" can be correctly applied to that fight

There were times when she would land a couple mosquito shots on GGG and when he returned fire and landed flush, the diva literally stopped in her tracks and reversed course......that's because she felt the power and wanted none of it. In the rematch, GGG will break her down and force El Cheapo and company to toss in the towel.

As I said before they fought, the only way GGG is going to win a decision over Canelo is to score a couple of 10-8 rounds.
GGG is the one with the leverage right now despite Canelo's popularity. He holds the belts and if Canelo wants them he will need to compromise because it won't get any easier for him going forward. If he doesn't fight him, GGG can also lose his belts to Charlo or in a rematch with Jacobs. Then what? I don't see Canelo wanting to fight either of them, especially Charlo who he avoided at 154.

The judging was bad, but the outcome was correct. The first 6 rounds where split 3-3 and after that GGG spanked Canelo till the end of the 9th, but Canelo got the last 3. When GGG said that Mexican style comment at the end of the fight, he was basically saying Canelo needed to to give him (GGG) a chance to land because he (GGG) was not as technically proficient. That's just plain sad! GGG dominated and had Canelo on the ropes for how many rounds in the middle of the fight, but backed off because he feared the counter even though GGG has a granite chin. He can cry foul all he wants, but his skills let him down not the judges. Yes, Byrd's card was a joke, but so are GGG's excuses. After all those years as an amateur and all these pro fights, the guy can't neutralize or adapt to movement and a solid defense? Frazier learned, Tyson learned and all top tier boxers do so why can't GGG. He has to beg for the other guy to become one dimensional or stand still so he can have a chance to land clean shots? This is the same guy that called out Mayweather and now that he realizes that his skills didn't fare well against top tier fighters so he's making excuses??!
Now for those saying Canelo ran, look at both fighters faces at the end of the fight, did GGG repeatedly run into the ref chasing Canelo or was that damage as a result of clean punches? Last i checked defense was a skill required in boxing just like in most sports except maybe golf and the sort. Remember the Phoenix Suns and their run and gun offense with no defense? How many rings did that get them? Stop making excuses for GGG, this isn't hobo box car fighting! Need i remind you of Magomed Abdusalamov? That fight against Perez is exactly what you guys want to happen over and over in boxing until the sport gets outlawed? If you don't appreciate skill then do not watch! The sport will survive with or without you. They said boxing was dead after the The Ultimate Fighter season 1, but Dana White swallowed his words after he smelled that Mayweather money and now he's scared that his fighters will switch to boxing. My deepest, respect to Magomed and his family, but see what happens when you do not master all aspects of the sport.
GGG can cry for an immediate rematch because he's in it for the money and doesn't want to risk becoming another Kovalev. Canelo was a joke to me until this fight, but its time to give him some respect. GGG can face Jacobs again if he's all that and Canelo can face Lara. 2 rematches against whom both guys looked bad.
GGG did lots of talking, hurting heavy weights in sparing being able to go to 168, but when he had the option to face Ward the excuse was that there was not enough money. I'm quoting an article from this very website dated Mon May 18, 2015. What will be the excuse not to face Jacobs or the mandatory Charlo, money again, just like Mayweather was a good idea at 154 and Canelo wasn't and all that was said in the same year. This smells just like Kovalev not wanting to face that joke Stevenson. Smells like fear to me plain and simple. GGG can keep trying to goad Canelo in becoming one dimensional to have a better chance and play casual fans, but that won't fly with knowledgeable fans at all. Instead of saying Mexican style, just say please give me a chance! Marco Antonio Barrera fought Tapia and Prince Naseem using all skills, offense and defense, that's Mexican style!
Canelo exposed ggg as a fighter with very limited dimensions!
