Comments Thread For: McGregor's Coach Admits Shock at Mayweather's Ability To Adjust

CONOR MCGREGOR's boxing match is currently still one of the biggest talking points in combat sports. McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, entered the boxing world last month when he took on Floyd Money' Mayweather in a multi-million-pound showdown. The trash-talking Dubliner entered the much-maligned contest having never boxed professionally, a fact which led many to rule out of his chances of pulling off one of the biggest sporting upsets.

For all the adjustmenents Floyd made in his career that wasn't a complicated one. There was nothing on Conor's punches by that stage. And tbh, there didn't seem to be a great deal on them all night.

It stands to reason that professional boxers punch harder. Conor did well I thought in putting shots on the target at times . And countering a Floyd right hand with an uppercut is something he can hang his hat on.

It is subjective but on tele the shots didn't zip through to the target and I think Froch at ringside mentioned there was nothing on them. I'd believe Froch.

I thought Conor did alright but I hope they leave boxing alone. Or Conor starts at the bottom-ish rung and fights Peter McDonagh for an Irish title and joins a Boxing gym.

If Floyd just suddenly charging forward with a high guard and walking Conor down after deciding Conor is guassed is "shocking ability to adjust" for an MMA coach then what is it to them on the sweet sweet sweet adjustments Floyd did to Moseley, Dela Hoya, Cotto, is it some magic to MMA coach or something?

Haha this coach is a joke, he's trying to sound like some scientist or something

Floyd straight up walked down McGregor because he had shot his bolt and was pitty Pat
He's not going to walk down an elite boxer because they punch with force and experience.

Of course Conor’s coach has never watched....

              Zab Judah fight
              Shane Mosley after around 2
              Corley fight
Victor Ortiz the main one - given he’s a southpaw
              Michell fight

It’s like they have gone on a boxing forum read that floyd runs and assume all floyd does is ****ing run - it’s particurly cringeworthy when Conor’s boxing and bjj coach before express surprise!!

              Hahahhaha bunch of amateurs
