1990's was the pinnacle of HW boxing. Everyone was using and most of them admit it. Today boxing is a ******ed joke. Dope testing is guaranteed to create an uneven playing from an even playing field and 100% guaranteed to not clean the sport. Doping heads admit they miss most users. The establishment loves testing because they can pick and choose winners and losers. Behind closed doors by one agency the establishment owns. What are you going to do if they say you are a user? Drug testing is 1,000 times easier to rig than a boxing decision. VADA is based in Las Vegas.

Only stiff bans of two years for a first offense and then life bans after that can create a significant deterrent.

Hit the drug cheats where it hurts: In their wallets. I like your idea of a two year ban for the 1st offense. Enough of the 6 or 8 month "bans" that aren't even punishment since most elites average that amount of time for a layoff between fights.

I like either a lifetime or 4 year ban for second offenses.

It would be great to see boxing establish a biological passport system to keep track of boxer's hormone/blood levels over time in order to see when things spike/dip abnormally.

There are plenty of young up and comers who will fight clean for paydays. I say get rid of the dopers and make room for the best fighters, not the fighters with the best pharmacists/chemists.

I found myself thinking yesterday, when I was reading up on the Ortiz case, that "Yeah, just let them fight. I'm sick of the missed fights and everyone cheats"

I agree with this article 100% though. If it turns out my man Fury has doped then I won't be a fan any more. He has already served his time going by other cases but I won't support him. Ortiz has been done before so should be extra careful. No excuse for not having people around you to watch your diet and supplements.

Although I have waited for years for Wilder to fight someone I thought could beat him, this fight can't be allowed to go ahead. Ortiz has failed his duty in properly informing testing agencies of his meds and so forfeits the right to fight for the WBC belt, simple as, whether it's a mistake or not.

Why isn't AJ signed up with VADA year round? He seems to stop and start his vada involvement in between fights. Which is extremely su****ious.

HW's are not natural athletes ( in general ) most of these 'boxers' are fatigued by the fourth round because they are out of shape and have little reason to train harder because their weight class is unlimited. Drug testing reveals this truth, these men can not compete at the highest level without the juice.

Casuals are taken in by the aura of HW's but its just a illusion, they are very mentally and physically weaker than the lighterweights : history has shown these big cowards to have mental break downs in and out the ring -- HW boxing is for casuals and its quite pathetic to be honest.

Real men watch lighterweights.
