I tend to agree that Golovkin is unlikely to fight before a Canelo fight. I would like to see him fight Saunders but he might not want to risk it or DLH might threaten to pull the Canelo fight like he did last time.
The reality is neither guy needs this fight from a money standpoint. Both guys need it from a legacy standpoint.Comment

I didn't mean slipping like in age or skill. I meant in the sense that he probably didn't put his all into his preparation going into the fight. He just came off back to back big fights with Margarito revenge fight and Floyd. Kind of hard to get psyched for trout after that. Either way, I also don't think Canelo beat the best version of cotto since cotto was older and much smaller but I do think cotto was better prepared for canelo than he was for trout.Comment

Diego... wether they need the money or legacy more, is irrelevant in this situation. Boxing is called the hurt business for a reason, your next fight can be your last at any moment. Why would any boxer not put money as their number one priority in regards to fighting over anything else including legacy? Specially a mid 30's guy who may never be able l fight in another fight as big as Canelo.... let me guess, you are one of the many ggg fans that believed him when he said he wanted legacy and not business fights???
