As some others pointed out, what does the WBC benefit from Canelo Who doesn’t acknowledge their straps? The WBC needs to push their belts and protocol. However, GGG ducked Jacobs ( as he did too) for a while until the WBA forced it when they didn’t acknowledge the Brook defense.

Don’t worry guys. GGG can exercise step asides for Charlo easily as long as he accepts them. GGG got loot now. Charlo can wait comfortably with high fees on K2

Come on really??? Everyone has off nights, Golovkin couldn't KO a guy who was dropped by Sergio Mora it doesn't mean Golovkin doesn't have power, and regarding the fight you're talking about Charlo did get the KO, and he's dropped Julian Williams, Bundarge, and Compfart with jabs

He's a former world champion, Canelo is my favorite boxer but he's not "whooping" Charlo, he might win but it will not be a wide win, Charlo would probably walk through Canelo's shots and KO him

Okay fair enough. It just surprises me when people say Canelo is ducking Charlo. I mean why would he?? What has Charlo done to make anyone think he's this killer everyone is afraid of... Who has he really beaten??
But I don't think anyone would just walk thru Canelo's shots like their nothing. Contrary to what people say Canelo does have some power. We just saw Triple g not walk thru Canelo's shots like if they were nothing. He was cautious of Canelo's power. Thats Why when Canelo stood against the ropes we didn't see triple g go in for the kill like he does other Fighters.

I'm genuinely curious how Charlo went up the pecking order so quickly? He's had 1 middleweight fight right?

Get serious little steps, canelo hit ggg with the hardest right he's ever landed and ggg didn't even flinch, I see you've still got little man syndrome, calling everyone out over the keyboard, I thought you might have grown up and matured but obviously your still 2"3 and 13 years old

Jacobs has to beat Charlo. He is the best fighter in the division.

That's just a good fight. No one knows who wins that one. Remember Charlo is an educated boxer who moves when necessary.

Usually when champs vacate and move up a weight class they are usually very highly ranked in the new weight class, which makes it easier to secure world title opportunities...I think GGG/Charlo and Canelo/Charlo are good fights tbf.

Yes this is a about the money. WBC would normally sanction the Canelo fight as a qualifying mandatory (if it wanted to), but as Canelo refuses to fight for the belt, that complicates things.

Likely to end up in step-aside money for Charlo, else WBC could do their normal thing of creating a belt, making Golovkin the sooper-dooper belt holder, while Charlo fights someone for the regular belt.

WBC has a 'Silver MW' belt already held by Roberto Garcia - maybe Charlo ends up fighting for that one while getting some step-aside cash too.
