Tszyu was trained by Americans and non-Russians. Yea Johnny Lewis (AU) worked with him for a bit, but he did most of his work with a cat from Colorado (Sean something). I met the dude at a pro show out there. He always wears Kangol hats.

Golovkin has a Mexican trainer. I don't want to ear no shít about Am's trainers. I almost fought a guy in the Am's who had 149 wins. He just turned 18 and hadn't fought any men yet, those 149 wins were JO (Junior Olympic) wins. Little kid fights don't count for jack. Dude lost his second year to a sub par Ams fighter in his own backyard. Am's fights are super fixed so you know it was a legit loss. I was there.

Kovalev is a b-level fighter/quitter/crybaby.

Adamek was pretty good.

Michalczewski was a lot of hype. Ok, he beat Hill and a ruined Griffin. Who else did he fight? Nobody, thats who and lost to nobodies. Never once fought out of the most shady country in boxing: Germany. The country where the ref helps up knocked down fighters.

So if all the great trainers are in the US and white European boxers are capable of being at least decent if they got a US / Mex trainer, the question remains why ain't white US dudes getting off their fat asses and into the boxing gyms? Theirs some I just think the schooling in white gyms arent that good imo cause in the amatuer circuit you see alot more white kids in it than you do in the pros.

There are white guys in every gym. No rhythm, poor timing, bad chins, lack dedication, crap power, often go to brawling style, lack elite punching skills.

Quick story, a white kid from my area --- Amateur pedigree from a very well known fight family and popular gym.

Looked great as an early pro and went on to fight an ATG champion. Naturally he lost. Ended up having a shítty pro career because he lacked dedication. His problem was his weight. He got into a weight class that was too big for him because he didn't want to do the work and stay at a lower weight that was a natural weight for his body. He could have had a promising career. if I said his name you would know it.

Remember Jason Litzau? Bad chin ruined his career.

Mickey Ward? He was a bum with a great chin. Lacked basic skills. If he didn't fight Gatti who was shot to shít, nobody would know who Mickey Ward was.

A good friend of mine that turned pro --- white dude, elite punching skill. Bad chin and lacked dedication.

It is a bit of a puzzle - I mean I can buy into the genetics argument a bit but at the end of the day boxing is foremost a technical sport... with the right training and dedication I'm struggling to see why 200 mil white Americans can't field any world class boxers when 40 mil Ukrainians can get the Klitschkos, Loma and Usyk and 65 mil Brits have got 4 current white world champs(even if they are all frankly not very good)... Hell even a good brawler can have some success but the best the paler US citizens seem to be able to manage is a construction worker.

Maybe dedication is more of the issue here like you say - and perseverance... which then begs the question why these guys are just less willing to grind out the hours and go the extra mile than some of their European counterparts.

Whites have much higher intellects in general than blacks and mexicans, so they tend to gravitate towards other types of jobs where their brains and skills will come more in handy.

Theres many white American HW boxers all over . What everyone fails to realise is you only see the top 50 to 100 bc thats all that are covered . With the increase in eastern europeans and a sport thats always had much more blacks at HW since the 60's this has dwindled down the overall number of white American heavyweights .

Most go into other sports for better financial gains . The odds of a top 10 White HW shrinks when you factor in everything . In my experience its also lack of focus and less drive with White American HW s . This is usually bc they surround themselves with groupies and not real trainers ,so if this is going on all over well theres a big part of the problem ....lol


You really need good trainer and credible manager who wont crash your career before it gets started then incentive follows thats a major problem for the average White American HW .
