The purpose of a protest is to spread awareness, why would they bother kneeling to somebody else's anthem when its the attention of America they want. The goal was to spread awareness and start getting people to look at the issue GOAL ACHIEVED.

As to the claims of them feeling that their oppressed is pure conjecture on your part, The truth is that rich black men rarely get done over bad by police FACT, that does not mean that can't speak and spread awareness for the poor black men that ARE. ALSO FACT not disputable even when you adjust for population, crime rates and types of crime the sentencing gap and mistreatment is still there FACT.
