Chavez Jr. was at his best when hehad Freddie Roach in his corner.. he is a pressure fighter and doesn't know how to utilize his reach and height I don't care what Nacho thinks he isn't going to be able to teach that to him at 32 years old.. but history has shown whenever he steps up to world class level he is a deer in the Headlights and can't perform

I agree mostly with Califire. I wanted to say that Chavez Jr is shot, but he is somewhat of an enigma.

I get the sense that for him to capture a world title again, and/or at least show us something eye-catching he needs the right motivation and the right circumstances around him.

The Canelo fight was obviously too much for him and at 32 he needs to fight at a comfortable weight. He has power, a decent chin, but is not a great volume combination puncher, and will always struggle against top class boxers who show too much movement. He needs a stationary target or at least someone he can break down early.

It's obvious he threw the fight for $. I've never seen any fighter regardless of how weak take that much punishment without punching back
