Blocking punches with his face how did he do it jo?
Chavez Jr had a similar record.

Gonzalez received, ALWAYS, a lot of punches but of midgets without power in 105-108.

Look his fight vs Takayama he received a lot of clean punches.

In 112 he did it too but his opposition was trash, he fought with the worst champ of the weight and old men like Sosa and Viloria that both were outta of his prime and with 36 years old and Sosa 39.

It's in the 115 division that he is fighting with real dangerous guys with skills and power and he lost to Cuadras and Sor.

He always was the bigger man in 105-108 and 112.

Like Broner did in 130 and 135.

I honestly think he'd school Inoue from a technical standpoint. Whether he'd stand up to the punching power is another matter, I guess. It's a great little division, though.

The saga continues! we coming to the UK baby! Roman Gonzalez is no b*tch! only primed undefeated champions on his list, whos doing it like this? even after a brutal KO -- a true warrior. These guys take years off prolonging their careers but RG is not playing any games! then we want that euro-bum Ryan Burnett @ 118 or little Borat for all de titles too!

Lol, Yafai in a stadium? He's pretty much unknown here in the UK except for the real hardcore fans. Gonzalez is unknown here too. It probably wouldn't sell out a small arena.

They could make the fight in USA though now Hearn is putting fights on in USA on HBO. That makes a lot of sense.

It's hard to say were Gonzalez is at. Age looks to be catching up on him, fighting against bigger guys and was badly KO'ed in his last outing.

I like Yafai, he's a good fighter. But if Roman can come back in decent shape in body and mind, i'd have to take him to win.

              Next superfly event (ideal world):

              Estrada v Rungvisai
              Inoue v Cuadras
              Tito v Yafai

hmm, hmm, good. If could add Warren v Ancajas, you've got all 8 of the Ring top 10.

That would be like having all of Thurman, Spence, Porter, Garcia, Peterson, Mathysse, Horn and Pac on the same card at 147 (ignored Brook as he's pretty much guaranteed he's not fighting at 147 any more).

Hang em up Roman, you can't cut it at Super Flyweight. Either drop in weight or call it a day.

                  Are you Stu.pid?

It's like think that Margarito can box and move around the ring.

And that division is not too high.

He weighted only 3 pounds less than Cuadras in his fight.

Only are 3 pounds more of his natural weight that is 112 pounds.

Canelo has more disadvantages in 160 pounds than Choco in this weight and nobody is crying.
¿You're comparing Gonzalez to Margacheato? Pfft, whatever man. Stay salty

What a bunch of **** riders. I'm sure many of you here were on this guy's nuts. After one ko he's done? He may be done but before this last fight he was still considered a p4p great. One ko doesn't mean a fighter is done. Maybe it motivates him to get better. We will see. I'm glad he didn't retire so I can see what he's made of.

                      I'm all for this fight.

Yafai is in a make or break stage of his career. He hasn't quite progressed the way I thought he would and his power doesn't carry at the world level. Beating a past it Gonzalez might just be his coming out party...but he has to get past ishida first, which will tell us a lot about where Yafai is.
