If he's going to do this, he needs to get stronger for the division (but in the right ways, without losing stamina), and change his style a little bit. He can't just be the power punching volume destroyer that he was at 105 - 112. To face way bigger men and win, you need to mix things up a bit. He also needs to head hunt less. I realize that's a habit he's gotten into his whole life, and at 105 - 112, it's always been a good habit, because his head punches are very accurate, and they did all the damage necessary for him to win at those weight classes. But at 115, the head shots are not doing the damage he needs them to, so he needs to switch it up and invest in the body early and often in order to chop down the bigger opponents.

It can be done, but it will be difficult. Of course, Chocolatito hasn't only been chasing titles, he's been chasing the best guys. If he wants to take a page out of the Al Haymon playbook and simply target "titles" in a bunch of weight classes, instead of champions, then heck, he could go on for 3 or 4 more years and possibly win titles all the way up to 122 pounds. Is this Yafai guy any good? If not then Chocolatito will still beat him. Is there a weak link at 118 to fight? If so, Chocolatito could beat a weak link even at 118. And, depending how much he bulks up, same at 122.

Size alone has not been the issue for Chocolatito. It's that Sor Rungvisai is also an A- level boxer who was way bigger too. But his only loss since his prospect fights was a headbutt against Cuadras in a fight he likely would have won. Otherwise Sor Rung Visai is undefeated, despite only being a part time boxer. He didn't have the money to train full time, he had to hold another job too. So to be undefeated under those circumstances tells you what a natural talent he is. But then, because he won the first fight against Chocolatito, that allowed him to train full time for the first time, and you saw him start to fulfill his actual potential, which is very high. You saw him come into his own and start to look like not just the bigger fighter, but a very good fighter in his own right.

So if Chocolatito wants to beat someone like him in the future, he will need to get stronger, and adjust his style. But if he just wants to win "titles" on paper and say he won titles in 7 different weight classes or whatever, then that is always possible so long as you identify the Ricky Burns of a division, or Paulie Malignaggi of a division, and only fight guys like that. That's how Adrien Broner and guys like that became "four division world champions" or whatever, so it can definitely be done. It's not good for the sport when prime fighters do it, but for Chocolatito at this point, what would be better for the sport, that he retire completely, or that we see him in adventure fights at random high weights, even if it's not against the #1's in those divisions? In this case, obviously the latter option would add more to boxing's schedule than if he just retired.

But, he should look out for his health first, given that he's already given so much to boxing. Whatever he chooses, I wish him the best, a true champion who would fight anyone. He was even eager to fight Inoue at 115! Imagine that! The exact opposite of so many modern champions especially in America, sadly.

Chocolatito is not small to 115 pounds, he has problem because he has a very bad defense and now he is fighting with strong guys, not midgets like he did in 105-108 pounds.

And he is fighting with the best actually only in the 115 division.

In the 112 division he fought with the worst champ (Yaegashi) and ducked the rematch with Estrada.

He never unified titles in 105.108 and 112.

And he won an interine title in 108 when he could fight with Nietes.

You are crazy, Chocalitto can't be champ in 118 division, he will lose vs a top 10 of that weight.

He is over and he was a overrated fighter with poor defense.

Look his fight vs Takayama he received a lot of punches in his face but he was fighting with midgets without power.

And he fought vs drained Estrada without power and he barely got a decision when Juan was too young (22 years) then ducked him in 112 when Estrada was the king of the weight.

And no, Sor is not undefeated.

All I can say is good luck. Too many head punches may have made him confused as to whether he can compete at these higher weights. Good for him if he can find the formula, but as many years as he's used his face as his defense, I have some doubts he can change much.
