Exactly, Bowe knew something we didn't and that is that he was scared of Lewis, why else throw a belt in the garbage.

What was the reason at the time?

I always wondered if Lewis sticking around an extra 4 years for his second shot at Olymic gold, made any difference against a greener Bowe.

If their Olympic bout is anything to go by, Bowe wouldn't have made it past the 6th round.

Question is, what's lewis's prime. Was he in his prime when he got knocked out by McCall and Rahman? I guess he was in his prime when he couldn't even take out Holyfield, whose skills were GREATLY diminished every time they fought. The Holyfield that fought Bowe would have killed Lewis. The Bowe that fought Holyfield would have killed Lewis too and that was the Bowe we are talking about.

I just realized I almost repeated someone else's post. Guess I'm just agreeing.

he didn't duck those guys, don't be silly. He decided to fight a better opponent for more money. If you are insinuating he was afraid of those two losers, your crazy. It's laughable to say such a thing.

I love Holy. I was looking at him when he beat Tyson the first time and he was MEAN and TOUGH. I don't think prime he beats prime Lennox. I like Holy more ... but no.

Bowe would NEVER beat Lennox. Lennox put fear in his ass.

Bowe-Lewis would have been quite a fight. Bowe was only a top fighter for one fight against Holy in #1. Lewis stlye would have given Bowe fits. His height, reach and right hand would have given Bowe all kinds of trouble. Lewis by tko in 8-10.

Lewis whipped his ass in the Olympics. I really believe he took his heart there too! He wanted no part of Lennox imo.

I just think the old Holy who threw 4, 5, and 6 punch flurries often, would give lewis all he could handle. I think he would wear him down and at least win a decision based on his aggression and style. The holy that lewis beat hardly threw any combos at all. Lewis still couldn't put him down. I admit, I am from Atlanta and am biased.
