Lennox had a much better chin than Wladimir and I think people wont even debate about that topic.

You're right lex, karma for that, but IMO i think brewster would stop him again, & if someone out there has got your number then you cant be king, I want to see him walk through brewster in a rematch then I'd have more faith in his chin, and i'd say he could be king. also I think that if Byrd would have faught the way he's known for fighting he could have beaten him too. & I've seen Lennox take some real hard shots

This is for some of you people bitching about Lewis and how he was Arrogant.

I just saw this video on ESPN, They had a Interview with Lennox Lewis talking about how boxing relates to chess and how he got interested in it...etc

This is what he said in the interview:

Interviewer: "You have been King of the boxing world for a while, who else right now would you say is the King?"

Lewis: "Wladimir Klitschko is very good and I think he will become the King soon."

Interviewer: "I heard there were some people that said you were that somebody that could have brought boxing back if you unretired, to the way it was, do you think there is somebody out there now who can do that, maybe Wladimir?

Lewis: "Yeah absolutely, hes got a great style, a good personality and you know hes a good person so I think he is going to Up with boxing in a good way, specially in a european stand point of view."

Interviewer: "To what it was in the hayday? Can he go back to that to the Muhammad Ali days?"

Lewis: (Smiling) " Uh...Maybe not..I mean there is only one Muhammad Ali...

Interview: (Interupts) "Thats true!

Lewis: "You know everybody has to make their own foot steps and create their own person in boxing.

I met lewis at a post fight party in atlantic city once many years ago when he was a younger champion. a banker friend of mine knows him well and introduced us. he was cool as hell,,,kept walking over and filling my glass with champagne and joking around with us. seems a lot more ****y on tv before fights and such. probably had more to do with his trying to get to his opponents head. who knows,,,,either way he was a great fighter like him or hate him

Lexs chin might have been slightly sturdier, but that doesnt make him any better as far as getting off the canvas goes.


Wlad always stands up, and keeps fighting.


The argument here is not about who has/had a better chin.

THe point is that by no means did Lennox have a good chin, but he still was King.

Any of you that think that you need a chin to be soemthing in boxing are full of it.


Peter has chin, and where is he now? Loosing to "glass jaw" Wlad, and fighting bums.

I can name tons of fighters with chins......and where are they now?

yes,,,he did but it still would have been interesting to see a guy in there with him who also had the same combination of size strength and hand speed. lennox probably would have got him first but it would have been interesting to see what happened if wlad landed something clean early

To become a King Wlad needs the following:
1. Fight Brewster, even if Brewster is not a champ anymore.
2. Fight Toney
3. Unify

Only then he will be the King IMO, assuming he will hold the belt(s) for at least a few years.

I agree with most of the things you have said, but the thing people underrate lewis's chin from the losses to Mccall and Rahman (Both known as big punchers) but the fact he got his revenge back and showed a decent chin against Mercer, Klitscko, Bruno, Morrison, Briggs, Tua and Tyson..Im not saying he has got a good chin, but its not like some people make it out to be..its more than above average and decent.

Just watch Oceans 11..lol they fight there, too bad we could'nt see a matchup like this, it would have been a good PPV
