  • Comments Thread For: Wilder's Handlers Discussing Ortiz Replacements for November 4

Denotay Wilder's managers, promoter Lou DiBella and adviser Al Haymon will spend Friday solidifying a plan B for the WBC heavyweight champion now that Luis Ortiz has failed a performance-enhancing drug test.
An official announcement hasn't been made, but Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) isn't expected to move forward with his title defense against Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs, 2 NC) because the Cuban southpaw has tested positive for banned diuretics that can be used as masking agents for PEDs.

Good. Hope he fights Stiverne. Just once I'd like to see him fight a number 1 mandatory

Fine Ortiz $100K, and then fight him anyway! Test him randomly, but at least once a week!

No, that was just someone saying it was ok on twitter. I doubt the fight happens.

Dillian Whyte is calling him out on twitter so that's a good replacement plus it builds up for the AJ fight next year. Or he should just deal with Stiverne so next year he doesn't have this mandatory lurking that stops him fighting AJ.
