I don't see how Pac could beat any of the following:
Wilfredo Gomez
Sandy Saddler
Willie Pep
Salvador Sanchez
Azumah Nelson
Alexis Arguello
Julio Caesar Chavez
Floyd Mayweather Jr
You keep saying he beat Morales and Barrera but you can't compare Barrera and Morales to the fighters I just listed except maybe Gomez the rest are in a different league.

I think Pac will find Pep really too pesky and troublesome. Pep will get into Pac's head rather quickly, making Manny lose composure. Pep by UD.
Saddler lost twice to a Filipino, Flash Elorde. A check of the record books will reveal this not to be true as the books will say Saddler lost to Elorde once and won once. But, anyone who takes the time to check deeper will find that though Elorde was stopped by TKO at the Cow Palace in San Francisco during the second meeting, Elorde was leading on all score cards and the referee's decision to stop the bout on cuts was soundly booed with soft drink bottles thrown into the ring by spectators for good measure. Elorde packs right about half of the power of Pac who is quicker to boot. That said, Saddler was not above playing dirty and Pac can easily get unsettled by dirty tactics.
I don't think Pac's style is one that Sanchez cannot manage. It's the style of Azumah Nelson that gave him a number of things to think of and, stylistically, The Professor and Pacman cannot be mistaken for each other. Sanchez, I think, will take it. But, it can be my passionate Sanchez bias that's getting into play.
Gomez, was great at Bantam and SuperBantam and I don't think Pac can carry his jockstraps at those weights. But he was not very successful at SuperFeather. Remember, he was stopped by Alfredo Layne, who had lost five before facing him.
I'm not sure that it's Danny "Little Red" Lopez that is being referred to. If he is, then I think, with his height advantage he can jab away. But, in a career that spanned close to fifty fights, he was never averse to going to the trenches. Lopez can punch: he stopped Ruben Olivares and Chuchu Gonzalez along with 37 others (for a total of 42 career wins). A meeting with Pac surely would have been fiery and it would have been great to know who would have gone down. Little Red could not be impervious to the type of power Pacquiao has. He went down to Shig ***uyama and Jorge Rodriguez, not to mention twice to Salvador Sanchez.
A meeting bewteen Pac and Nelson would have been great: Fire and Ice!Last edited by grayfist; 06-06-2006, 11:03 PM.

WHAAATTT???!!! im a nuthugger because i think PACQUIAO can beat these guys ( 126 - 130 )
Dont be fooled by writers giving BIAS to the fighters of the FAST. IF they are about the same size PAC have a chance.
Heck very few 'EXPERTS' gave PAC a chance againts BARRERA who is an all time great himself

All these guys achieved greatness @126. prime for prime I think PAC beats them. Too much power and speed and PAC isnt finished yet. He can still learn more tricks in the next 3 to 4 yrs
