This works well. We get Joshua/Pulev, Wilder Ortiz in the fall. Parker probably goes to Japan for an easy defense against Fujimoto in the winter. Winner of Wilder/Ortiz will have to deal with the WBC mandatory (winner of Breazeale/Stiverne) which can happen in the spring or summer while Joshua and Parker meet in the summer to consolidate another belt. That would set up the ultimate unification for between fall 2018 and spring 2019.

You misunderstand... i'm not trying to downplay Wilder potentially beating Ortiz; that'd be a fantastic win by Wilder. I'm simply pointing out that you yourself can't complain about it when you downplay Joshua's win vs Wlad, which no matter how you want to dress it up is still a fantastic win.
