Parkers people need to tread cautiously and maximize his earnings while holding the title. What does he do? Fight Bryant next and likely lose? Risk taking an optional defense when he looked like **** Saturday? Wait for Wilder or Joshua?
    The Great Prince Charles Martin.

That's basically who Parker is, a Kiwi Charles Martin. Wilder or Joshua would utterly flatten him.

This is a decent little fight I suppose, but I can't stand Parker ducking Wilder just to go offer that "performance" on Saturday. Give me a break. The guy sucks..

No different then 80% of other Boxers who don't deserve their World Title Shot either.

I'd rather see this fight which is an entertaining Style Match Up then Hughie Fury vs Parker any day.

Trash fight. Jennings doesn't deserve a world title shot and Parker is hilariously bad. Parker should just fight Joshua in February, get KO'D quick and get a career high payday.

The weakest champion out there is Parker ......they all want him.

How is it a Trash Fight?

Who should Parker fight? Wilder and Ortiz is out, Joshua and Pulev are out.

Jennnings is better or at least on same level as every other Heavyweight available apart from Povetkin, who needs to fight clean a few times before he deserves a title shot again.

Hughie is straight garbage for a prospect and Jennings is just subpar for a fringe contender so yea I'd agree with most of your take.

I don't think Parker vs Jennings is interesting. I'd argue Jennings is a less awkward, pillow handed fighter with a couple real wins in the past and this fight wouldn't look very much better itself although I suspect we'd actually see a strategy by Jennings unlike whatever we saw with Hughie so there is that.

Yeah so he needs to be smart. He just took care of his mandatory... Needs to cool his heels and see what kind of money he can get to cash in that belt.

He'd better be careful about taking an optional defense to get some extra cash.... I'd take even Alex Leapai to beat him after Saturday.

It's a boring match up, to me. Regarding who Parker should fight, it simple: he should squash a bum either in New Zealand or Japan and then have a unification fight with AJ (who intends to fight 3 times in 2018) in early 2018.Career wise, that would be the best option for him.

maybe all that is why his team is angling for him to fight in Japan vs a local?
                      Damn, I missed that headline!

That's the perfect situation for Parker if we're talking about maximizing his earnings. Fujimoto is the OPBF and former Japanese HW champ. A Japanese dude fighting for the HW title in Japan should be a big seller, and it's a fight that's about as low risk as possible.

Fujimoto isn't anybody but because he has that OPBF title, he's automatically in the top 10 WBO rankings.

This is a very smart play by Team Parker. Good for them.
