There was one on the European stage recently that had an official complaint lodged with the EBU and is reputed (haven't seen it myself yet) to be one of the biggest robberies of all time: Damaen Kelly vs. Simone Maludrottu (Bantamweight Title).

Of the fights listed, then I haven't seen them all, but while some could appear controversial, I wouldn't consider them robberies: Hatton-Collazo, for example. I had Collazo winning the first time, but with the KD (however dubious) all Hatton had to do was win half the rounds to take it on points, remember. Tarver-Jones I was extremely contentious, but a lot of it was down to Tarver's lazy streak. In both these fights, the winner lost the "fight", but won the boxing match if you see what I mean. I also had Barrera and Ali winning in their respective options.

With all this in mind my pick was Lewis vs. Holyfield, which was just incredible.

Other fights that were not close enough to avoid the 'robbery' label were Castillo-Mayweather and De La Hoya-Mosley II.

Back in Cassius Clay's lightheavyweight days, I'd say he lost to Doug Jones, but it was a close fight, although pretty uneventful.
How can you say that Castillo-Mayweather and DLH-Mosley weren't close? Seems like people throw around "robbery" whenever the fighter they were cheering for or the one they thought won loses.

If its a close fight it CANT be a robbery. Same with Collazo vs Hatton. I thought Hatton won but I wont argue with people that say Collazo won because I can see where they can give some rounds to Collazo.

The point is that close fights are not robberies they are what they are close fights which have many swing rounds.

Anyone who chooses a fight other than Lewis vs Holyfield is not really being honest with themselves. That is the only real robbery up there, the other fights I consider close and wont argue them either way.

                  Definitely.

During an exchange, usually it's clear cut who's getting the best of the punches. Let's be honest....that was hard as hell to tell with Ayala....untill he moved up in weight and his hands weren't nearly as fast.

I had it 9 to 3 for Lewis. A complete disgrace.
