GGG wins the rematch easier than the first

Rewatched the fight, it was great. I actually scored a draw.

Golovkin was nervous in the first 3 rounds, he gave Canelo too much respect. But he adapted bigly after the third, Canelo also slowed down bigly.

Now G knows Canelo has nothing to trouble him with , he'll let his hands go from the opening bell, inflicting more damage on Canelo early, and he'll eventually win via late round TKO imo.

Respectfully disagree. I believe Canelo will win more convincingly. I was ok with the draw myself, but would have given it to Canelo if I had to choose. And I think he will fair better in the rematch

I have a feeling Golovkin will fancy facing Chris Eubank Junior instead!

Either Canelo is not bringing his power up to 160, or GGG has got one hell of a beard . In the 9th round, at about 1:37, Canelo's right hand came all the way up from his waste, and nearly took GGG's head off his shoulders ! It was a thunderous shot. It whiplashed GGG's head for a second, and he shook it off.

The uppercut was there ALL night for Canelo! GGG was hunching over, coming in, because of Canelo's shorter height. Canelo caught him a couple times, but he really didn't exploit that as much as he could.

I had GGG winning the first fight but I think Canelo will win the rematch (deserved or gift).

Havent rewatched but from what i remember ggg wasnt able to cut the ring off like earlier in his career. His legs are slowing down . Hes aging. Reflexes and handspeed are slowing. Didnt go to body because he was wary of canelos uppercut counters. canelo was in the corner and hit ggg with a counter bodyshot uppercut in round 1 or 2

Canelo has shown in past that he picks up on things during fights and improves for his next fight.

Vegas has this a 60-40 fight for ggg again . I would favour canelo

How do you win a rematch easier than you won the first fight when you ran, got out thrown and out landed and lost the first fight but were lucky enough to get a draw? My money is on GGG to win the rematch easier than he won the first fight. GGG needed a while to get the feel of Canelo who is fast and explosive with unusual combinations. He will know him better and get rolling faster in the rematch. Canelo can't match GGG's stamina, work rate, chin and power. That won't change in a rematch.
