not a very sharp assessment. You are aware that hbo announcers are notorious for giving Canelo more credit than he deserves when calling fights. It's in the best interests of hbo to have Canelo win because he's the younger star with a bigger fan base. If they had ggg winning, it's because they really saw ggg winning along with 90% of the boxing world. There's only a few Canelo fans in denial who refuse to accept the truth. Perfect example being yourself.

But that's not true, he has been fighting top fighters for a while, they just weren't stars in the US. Besides, he beat Jacobs, an arguably Canelo too. It's a haters complex to ignore the fact he was avoided at his peak and as soon as he showed signs of slowing down, everyone got brave.

People wouldn't even consider Brook a step up if it weren't for the fact GGG finally showed some vulnerability. If GGG would've stopped Brook in the 1st, and stopped Jacobs y'all would be throwing them in the same pile y'all throw Lemieux, Geale, Macklin, Murray, Stevens, Proksa, etc.

There is a camp on this site who are a little too critical of a 35 year old who's cleaned up at middle and just beaten the so called future of boxing in the eyes of most people. Canelo was supposed to destroy him before the fight. Now he's overhyped for actually having a competitive fight. The goal posts keep moving. I think you need to put the dummy back in your mouth. Never have I once called any boxer a coward or chicken, never used the word Canyellow, never said Ward wouldn't show up for anything, never said anything derogatory about Jacobs.
