I'm thinking Peterson, he's the WBA 'mandatory' and a good, respectable opponent. Anything softer than that would be disappointing, Thurman is in a lot of P4P lists now, in most peoples' top 10 and even in some peoples' top 5, so there's a certain level of competition he has to fight to keep climbing the ranks or at least maintain his status.Comment

Lamont would be nice, doable too. But I'd still like to see Khan get knocked out lolI'm thinking Peterson, he's the WBA 'mandatory' and a good, respectable opponent. Peterson (toughest one)
Sammy Vazquez
Khan
Felix Diaz
Good respectable names, but very beatable and good name value for Thurman's return. These guys are not tune up, a tune up would be more of a showcase fight against a no hoper ala Rod Salka. Thurman holds two belts so a crap fighter would be highly disappointing.Comment
