Comments Thread For: Anthony Dirrell Denies Chavez Jr.'s Claim of Fight in November

Last weekend, former WBC middleweight world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (50-3-1, 32 KOs) revealed on social media that he's returning to the ring on November 11 at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. According to Chavez, he was scheduled to face former WBC super middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell (30-1-1, 24 KOs) at the full division limit of 168-pounds. But Dirrell has come out and denied Chavez's information.

Only thing he inherited from his dad was his chin and what I didn't know his partying ways. Didn't know dad liked coke just knew his performance started dropping off and he was struggling and losing to sparring partner types

If that's still a good payday, then Dirrell should take it. I'm not sure if that's a money fight anymore tho. They had to be negotiating or something for him to specifically identify Dirrell as an opponent and Jr. just got ahead of himself.

            1. Chavez Jr tweets hes fighting Dirrell
            2. Dirrell replies "you dont want this"
            3. Dirrell says to the newspaper hes heard nothing about fighting Chavez Jr, hes fighting Dennis Douglas
            4. Dennis Douglas says hes never been offered a fight with Dirrell

Think Dirrells ducked everyone in the division at some point in this year

Dirrell was probably just projecting ahead for when he cancels the fight. Gotta keep the family tradition going, eh?

              LOL!

I'm DONE supporting those ***S!!! On top of that they jumped a bunch of fans who boo'd them that night.
