I saw the fight. It's on my hard drive. It was not close. Donald clearly outboxed, out manuevered, out punched Valuev. Valuev could barely touch him when Donald was not in an exchange. When they did exchange, it was at Donald's initiation. He dictated this fight by avoiding Valuev's slow and looping punches. He would counter and connect.

Even the German TV crew, in between rounds, would show nothing by instant replays of Donald hitting Valuev.

The "close" fight you are talking about might be the Ruiz fight.

Do you see anyone in this thread saying Valuev should have won the fight?

Do yourself a favor. Go find a copy, watch it, and then continue posting.
no,,,I didnt read anything thinking valuev won,,,just havent heard any accounts of it being so one sided. if it was then valuev is even worst than I thought he was and larry donald should push as hard as he can for a rematch

I don't know what "Reports" you've read, but you've now seen several people say it wasn't close.

Once again, if you look hard enough and ask around you should be able to get a copy of it.

        Watch it for yourself.

As the post above mentions, maybe you were thinking of the Ruiz fight, which was close. The Donald fight was a horrid decision.

ok,,,,thats 2 accounts on that so I apoligize to bozo ( I guess),,,lol. donald has always been a good boxer and only has losses to good heavies such as vit,,bowe and k johnson. Hopefully he'll get another crack at valuev,,,altho they will probably keep protecting him as they know his limitations

The German fans were clearly upset at the decision. But they whistle more than they boo (like Americans). It was a sloppy fight mainly due to Valuev's lumbering style. He's also immovable. Donald had to choice but to hit and run.
