Surprised Mayweather hasn't been mentioned, he loved to let them elbows fly, one of the only boxers I've seen that hasn't took advantage of dirty tactics is James Toney, one of the most clean boxers you'll ever see.
"Dirty" fighting is as much a part of boxing as diving is in Football or as any other immoral tactics used in any sport, if boxers can find a way to get away with it with an incompetant referee then by all means fire away, as wrong as I realise that sounds you need to realise that it's been apart of the boxing from day 1 and won't be going anywhere.
My only gripe is that they should be enforced more when it gets too Golota levels of blatantly throwing combinations below the belt and not getting much in the way of consequences.
