I think its highly disputable now. There are several guys with claims, but I don't believe any of them have for sure proven they deserve that bs sci fi fantasy title of the best boxer.

Loma is talented as f#ck, but that L still is a bad look + he's not really got a sexy #1 guy resume.

Crawford is talented as well & is more destructive to his opposition usually, but he's got even a less impressive resume one could argue cuz 140 is like the division where guys who can't hang at 147 tend to live.

One could argue GGG has lost his two biggest fights & they were close either way which is very un-#1-like. Same thing with Canelo cuz you can argue he lost to GGG so these two need to figure there sh^t out before I'd feel comfortable putting either of these guys above the other let alone #1.

I'm not sure there is a solid 5th guy to make a running at the #1 spot, but there are several guys with potential soon with the right fights to get discussed with these guys if not be considered the best boxer.

So TLDR these 4 guys need to do something impressive over the next 6-12 months &/or someone outside of these 4 needs to get themselves in the running for the #1 spot before there will be a legit for sure #1 guy probably.

Crawford or Loma having nice success a division up could probably get the job done for either of them & whoever wins the rematch between Canelo & GGG puts a case in for themselves. I imagine if Spence vs Thurman happens in early 2018 the winner gets in the running too.

Crawford is probably number 1. Loma could get there and probably sooner than later. GGG and Canelo will probably swap places after the rematch and Monster Inouye will also probably be in contention fairly soon.

How many people you know fight the World Champ on their first pro fight ? Had Ward, Floyd , Delahoya , Moslet etc fought the best world champ on their first pro fight I believe they would have all lost as well, But he did win the title in his 2nd pro fight a feat that will never be duplicated. Just a reminder Salido was almost out in round 12 the clock save him

This is not enough for a case to be made for Loma that he can be called the best pfp fighter today.

He can fight orthodox and southpaw, he can box and slug, he uses the jab, goes to your body...and he takes a good shot. He is unmatched by anyone today and will continue to show everyone why I have him ranked as the new pfp king.
I agree. I'd move Crawford to the top spot as well.
