No Mayweather landed clean hard shots all the damn time. Not being knock out punches doesn't mean they weren't hard with weight behind then. The gif i posted Golovkin is punching as hard as a ****ing 6 year old. Worse than Malignaggi, nothing shots, which is why Canelo didn't even bother defending them. When Floyd does that, you count those pitty pat punches big time!

Why would there be a PR campaign to support Golovkin over Canelo, and who would fund that ish? Hell - why would HBO prefer people to choose Golovkin over Canelo when Canelo is the closest thing they and GBP have to a meal ticket over the next few years.
Some of you dudes just need to accept that maybe other people are just seeing stuff that you don't and that yours is only one of a spectrum of valid points of view (and an outlier at that).
In broader terms I'd have to say that something is fundamentally flawed with our scoring system if it brings us into conflict with 80ish % of the viewing public. In effect we're telling the people that pay for this **** they they're too ****** to understand it. I'd say that's a problem, because boxing needs them more than they need boxing.Comment

And yes Canelo was tired but was still trying to defend against the jab all night, he couldn't. GGG's power shots are a bit slower so could still dodge those. You're literally arguing that he gave up 6 rounds or more and purposelessly let GGG hit him with the jab and either let him win the round or make it close because his jabs had no power. Where as if they had more power, only then would he have decided to avoid them too. Is that your argument? That Canelo intentionally allowed himself to lose rounds when he didn't have to just because he was tired and felt GGG's jab had no power? Did GGG activate some kind cheat code to get Canelo let him win rounds out of intentionally negligence?
And as I said before, you can't really give GGG too many rounds based on power shots so you must acknowledge he won many with the jab. Or maybe he didn't land the jab too much and landed more power shots. Either way, you can't say GGG didn't land both power shots and jabs and then say Bryd's scorecard is bad, it's a contradiction. How else is GGG winning rounds if not through the jab or power shots?Last edited by Gate keeper; 09-22-2017, 01:43 AM.Comment

You said most jabs landed flush, as in more than 50%. That's not significant since most punches thrown don't actually land for all fighters, unless they're in a mismatch. For a moment, you disingenuously pretended as if that's only something that happens to GGG.

Lol...you post a gif of GGG landing jabs flush or missing them. I asked if you were implying that all his jabs were like what was in the gif and your exact words were
"I'm saying most of them were."
As in more than 50% of his jabs missed or landed flush. Have I misunderstood?Comment

I'm starting to believe that Golovkin haters are just trolling. The vast majority of fans and boxing professionals know Golovkin won. You boys need to watch the fight over closely. You're giving Canelo credit for showing fast hands. He was missing just as much as Golovkin but triple G was landing more punches and Canelo spent long periods trying to run out the clock. There's definitely an agenda with the Golovkin haters. This fight wasn't even that close.
The gif that showed Golovkin hitting Canelo with a hard right wasn't a rabbit punch and it wasn't on the neck...It landed flush on the side of Canelo's head, directly on the ear. It's amazing that people can't see that. The trolling is epic in these GGG threads. This was a clear win for Golovkin but I empathize with your suffering boys. You didn't get to see the downfall of Golovkin. Well, you can always dream.Comment
