Does the winner of Rigo/Loma become p4p#1

Does the winner have a legitimate claim to the p4p number spot? Or would GGG or Crawford still rank higher?

If Rigo moves up 2 divisions and wins fair and decisevly against someone like Loma, he's definitely p4p king, and kind of a long way from the nr2 - ggg-at that.

Only if Rigo wins. If Loma loses, that will be a crushing blow for him. He's 10 years younger and 10 lbs heavier. If he loses against Rigo, shame on him.

For sure, Ward is retired, GGG/Canelo didn't look too hot, and Gonzalez was taken out. Only guy that's arguable is Crawford but he needs a signature win.

Yes, they'll be the only one with a fellow p4p fighter on their resume, so they make a strong case

No. Lomachenko would beat a guy two weight classes smaller.

Rigo would have a case. He's taking the bigger risk moving up two divisions, fighting a guy naturally 10 lbs+ bigger. Would still be a good win for Lomachenko and the best on his resume, but not as big as it would be for Rigo.
