I think he's trying to pull a Floyd by having all the 175 pound guys bust each other up then hoping people start talking about Ward coming back to take on the 175 pound king which will probably be Beterbiev by than

I guess he's feelings are hurt that some D level boxer like Connor McGregor made more money in one boxing match than he did his entire career

He could make good money fighting Bellew or Stevenson.

there is ONE reason he is retiring, and ONE reason only: MONEY.

Roc Nation isnt going to re-up him a new deal with those ****** guarantees, and his conversations with Top Rank clued him in on his REAL market value. And he simply will not fight for the numbers that represent his drawing power. He expects someone to lose millions in order for him to fight, and that just aint happening no more.

                    This.

I don't know how he got more to fight Krusher than Canelo against GGG.

Plus if the judges were fair or if he fought overseas with neutral judges... his undefeated record would be in real jeopardy.

Needing a ref and judges to secure victories
And social media and the world knowing it
                      Didnt help.

Most people- over 85 percent of viewers think kovalev was robbed of a great win vs ward in fight 1. Mayweather included.

Most people -over 80 percent of viewers think ward low blowed kovalev 3 times in the last minute of their 2nd fight and the fight was stopped off low blows without a 5 min break or count by the ref for needing the ropes.

Two controversial endings to dirty career .
