At least for one gd day, can we give a great fighter/future hall of famer some respect? When a fighter of this magnitude retires, he deserves to be respected and have his career celebrated. shame on all you clowns posting hating azz stuff about Ward today.
Hate or loge him, you have to respect Ward..

While I've rarely been a fan of his fighting style I absolutely respect that he came in prepared and in top shape 100% of the time. Regardless of how he beat them, he still beat guys like Froch, Kessler, and Kovalev. Not many guys would go through his resume unbeaten. Maybe nobody would. He seems like a good family man and fought well for his country. Enjoy your retirement champ.Comment

I hated the way he fought and won't miss seeing him fight. He has a great undefeated record and never avoided any boxer to my knowledge. He seems like a good honest person and I like him as a commentator. I am sure he will be in the Hall of Fame at the earliest possible time. He earned it. I wish him the best.Comment

Yep, hate his style, hate his dirty tactics, I do think he didn't make all the fights he could even though he probably would have won them (Bute, Stevens, Degale).
Now that I got that out of my system, he is definitely top fighter of this generation, always found a way to win and faced the best competition in their prime, and I am most impressed on how he beat Kovalev. Even as a big GGG fan I would favor him to win vs. GGG but I would have loved to see that fight happen. Best of luck to Ward in his post-pro-boxing career.Comment
