All didn't have Golovkin winning. Most of those that did had it a close fight with 1 more round to Canelo and it's a draw (like Roach)

It was a close fight. Golovkin didn't win clearly, that much is clear.

Lol, how many of them had him winning? Look, it's really simple, most professional boxers, trainers and boxing analyst had GGG winning while only a few had it a draw and a handful had Canelo winning. It's not even 60/40 or 70/30, it's closer to 80% 15% 5%.

It really wasn't controversial who won. There are guys with no L's who had closer fights than this one. I don't think Jacobs won but I think he was closer than Canelo.

You are literally in the 70% range on who people thought won the fight. Overwhelming media, fans and boxers and trainers thought Golovkin won. There judging is controversial not who won.

It really is telling at the end of the fight when both Golovkin and Canelo are being interviewed and the crowds reaction. You can tell those are lots of Mexican fans booing because they boo after Canelo finishes speaking in Spanish but before words are translated into English.

Said it before but I watched this fight in Mexico. There was no doubt in words and mood that Canelo lost. After it was announced people were like are you kidding me and not because Canelo didn't win.

Sure was a close fight, and a good one. Opinions of boxers and trainers etc always interesting, but got to sift out the ones where there is conflict of interest or priors.

eg JCC Sr. is a Mexican icon, he's going to go with the Mexican every time unless its blatantly obvious he's spouting BS, and this was close enough that he's obliged to go with Mexico.

Roach has priors with Cotto/Canelo.

Roach saying Pac won ? That's the trainers job to say their guy won. Sanchez says Golovkin won, DLH says Canelo won, Hopkins says Canelo won.....its their job, not what they believe.

Eventually you get to the ones who don't have conflicts, and there will be some Canelo, some Golovkin. In this case the majority is Golovkin, just the way it is, we can all just accept it, or not, and go home to wait for the rematch.
