Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Promoter: Dallas Should Be Frontrunner For Rematch

Tom Loeffler, promoter for Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs), says a rematch with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) is the priority for them. This past Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the two boxers went to a controversial twelve round split draw. Given the draw, Golovkin walked away with his WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO middleweight titles.

I don't wanna see the rematch no more! Nothing to prove, canelo outboxed ggg all night! If canelo fights him against and beats him more convincingly, he won't get credit because they will say ggg was old as they were already planning to say anyway... ggg is not on canelos level. Not even close!

Honestly Canelo doesn't seem to be intrigued with the rematch.

I actually think Canelo might get the stoppage in the rematch.

I used this before but I think it is appropriate; is that you Adalaide Byrd Jr?

"Nothing to prove"? 70-80% of fans thought Golovkin won.
75% of press row thought Golovkin won, with more press thinking it was a draw than Canelo winning.

"Not even close"? his own promoter (DLH) thought he won by a round.

"ggg is not on on Canelo's level"? No I think he is slightly above him still.

"Not even close"? Yes it is close, either way you think about it.

Come on this is straight up noob stuff you are spouting.

He needs to fix his stamina issues man... only then would we see his full potential. I mean he did
Just fight his first fight at 160 and it es against ggg who had been at 160 his whole career... Canelo will do better in rematch and if he fixes his stamina issues, the ko is highly likely.
