    Hatton-Tszyu likely cancelled.

Not sure if this has been posted. Couldn't find it, so here.

    Tszyu vs. Hatton Likely Cancelled
    January 2, 2005

As it turns out, things that are too good to be true are just that; too good to be true. It was reported early yesterday that undisputed junior welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu has pulled out of the scheduled Spring showdown against Ricky Hatton. The fight was supposed to take place in Hatton’s backyard in Manchester, England, but Team Tszyu scoffed at the supposed chump change of $5 million.

It was also revealed that Tszyu refused to fight Hatton at 4 AM in Hatton’s backyard unless the deal made perfect sense. No official word from Team Hatton as of yet. Stay tuned for details as they unravel…

Well, seeing as that is over 1.5 months old and we haven't heard it from anywhere else I'd favor it not being true.

That story is well over a month old. If the fight wasn't going to happen, Showtime wouldn't be advertising it on their boxing telecasts as recently as last Saturday night.

Thanks! I was worried there for a second. I am looking forward to this fight. And any cancellation even up to the day of the fight is always possible!

A little old to be worried about it. Both camps are talking **** like it's going down, there's no reason to think it's going to get cancelled.
