Yes, that was a robbery. The primary criteria when judging a boxing bout is who landed the more effective punches, which was Ruslan Provodnikov. Thus, he deserved to win despite losing officially. Barring point deductions, a boxer simply can't be called a 'deserved' winner if he gets out landed by his opponent in the 'effective punching' department.
Also, what the hell are you on about in regards to me being bias toward euro-asian fighters? Roy Jones Jr is my all time favorite boxer and I believe he'd beat anybody from 160 - 175 pounds in the history of boxing. Mike Tyson is probably my favorite heavyweight of all time and I believe he'd beat any heavyweight in history during his prime, except perhaps the Klitschko brothers.
It just happens to be that the current ex Soviet bloc boxers are better and more skilled than boxers from other regions. That doesn't mean I have anything personal against boxers from other regions. Not at all!
