    Golovkin Canelo Rematch

I hear all these posters saying Canelo won't take the rematch... are you serious (golovkin voice). He will be ****** not to, you guys are crazy this is the best time to activate it, GGG is on a physical decline, he will act on a rematch for May though, and he will likely win, 35-year-old pressure fighter is an almost impossible task at the highest level, a 36-year-old pressure fighter is even more so. Expect a Canelo vs. GGG in May 2018 and expect Canelo to do better, or more likely GGG to do worse.

Canelo will definitely take the rematch.

I just hope they put it in a big stadium so real fans can actually attend and will take the stink away from having it in Vegas.

First it was Canelo will NEVER fight GGG
Then GGG will KO Canelo easily
Then oK he went 12 but draw is a robbery
Now Canelo won't have a rematch?

Just like idiots saying Ward wouldn't rematch Kovalev. Too much money for both guys a rematch will absolutely happen and Canelo will beat this boy even more convincingly the second time. That's why you hear the GGG fans now screaming they don't want see a rematch. GGG never came close to hurting Canelo and missed all night long badly. They keep making excuses he looked bad against Brook (oh he just didn't fear brook so he LET HIM PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE lol). Then he looked bad against Jacobs (oh he just didn't want to kill Jacobs so he went 12 rounds on purpose to let Canelo think he slipped and would agree to fight him. Watch he will be back to the animal killer against Canelo). GGG literally get's worse every time out his last 3 fights. But you think he's going to be better not worse in the rematch? LMAO

Golovkin did great things in the Jacobs and Canelo fights. You can't hold him to a standard of destroying everyone at this age and against this opposition. He looked good on Saturday and will look good again in the rematch. Lets see who makes the needed adjustments.

These are the same idiots who said Ward wouldn't take the Kova rematch. Remember when he mentioned retirement? They took that and ran with it, just like they took anything Canelo said this weekend as a sign that the rematch isn't happening.

Some folks never learn but it's the same folks. The rematch will happen next year.

Canelo has the tools to beat GGG but the problem is he doesnt throw enough punches. If he didn't go full gun shy like Broner he beat the **** out of GGG. But GGG will win rematch b/c Canelo won't throw more punches. This will prob be one of the rare cases where the boxer loses the rematch.

Agree OP. A lot of boxing fans are f#cking ******ed & super simplistic + just black & white with everything.

Only thing I might disagree with you on is it happening in May. I feel like they might decide to stretch it out to September, with them co-headlining a card in May to marinate the rematch a lil more.

If they do that that could be a problem if they try to go higher than BJS & Cotto in opponents doe cuz I think there are a few guys on the come up who could give GGG or Canelo a tough fight or upset them like Charlo, Jacobs & maybe Derevyanchenko. But I tend to think BJS & Cotto or lesser guys will be chosen.

Canelo definitely wants a rematch. I just don't know what he can do differently to win. He's the same fighter in every fight, he actually did more footwork and lateral movement in this fight but it didn't really make a difference. GGG and Abel Sanchez will need to study the fight and work on cutting off the ring and getting to that body.

The way to beat GGG will be to beat him to the jab, and be the better counter-puncher. You have to back him up, because he doesn't fight well moving backwards...but that is easier said than done. I don't see Canelo beating him to the jab, but he can work on his counter-punching. He'll also need to keep his ass off the ropes. So I expect even more lateral movement in the rematch. Just like prior to the first fight, I see the rematch as a 50/50 fight. All depends on who makes the better adjustments.
