GGG's explosiveness is gone. Here is the proof.

When you fight a higher calibre of fighters then they would bring different things that nullify your strengths. GGG was just in there with better boxers than he was used to hence the close nature of both his last two fights.

Stepped up competition and stopped KOing guys, it's what most fighters do in like their 15th or 20th fight before the age of 27. GGG fought bums for a decade, bums are easy to KO. Virtually every top fighter has a 90%+ KO percentage his first 15-20 fights.

I don't think a drug exists that would enable a boxer to knock down world class boxers with taps. When his opponents went down it was because Kovalev blasted them hard with fast punches with lots of body weight behind them. He has never been a tapper.

Come on say it, the proof is in the pudding!

I know you want to say GGG got old over nite by the way Canelo was making him eat hard clean punches like tapioca pudding!

That's what the difference between fighting bums, car washers, laundry mat workers and fighters on house arrest and guys who actually are dedicated to the sport and bring world championship.level experience in the ring!

Who looked more like who and you'll get the answer of who won the fight actually and who actually got robbed!

Not out of the question of course, either that or they just can't deal with the big moment as well as the the American and Latin fighters.

My mistake. You were talking GGG just tapping guys and knocking them out. Same answer. GGG wasn't tapping them, he was blasting them. He was knocking guys flying through the air. He was NOt tapping them. If GGG's power is gone why was iron jawed Canelo running so much and what was Jacobs doing on the canvas? Kovalev and GGG hit hard because they are born punchers with fast punches thrown correctly not because of a Russian steroid that turns taps into bombs.

Check out this 10 second sequence from 0:10 of the first round against Curtis Stevens. Watch the explosiveness in GGG's right hands, his feints, everything. The speed, the snap, specifically the left hook to Stevens' guard at 0:07 and the right hand to his head to end the round. There is no delay, just BOOM. Contrast that to his recent fights, and it's like there's a hitch, or a delay, in his right hand. His hooks like wingy, like loose noodles, with no snap, no explosiveness.

What do you think? To my eyes, I don't see this same fighter anymore, and I haven't truly since the Lemieux fight. He started to decline around 32 years of age, just like most other offensive fighters, and now he's 35. Post your thoughts!
He was explosive against Brook though. I think he's packed a bit of weight on his last two fights and that made him a little slower.

... the Brook fight was one time "grab the money" and run... this is supposed to be a "rematch"...

I am very confused how the masses believe GGG won when I saw Ca$hnelo outbox the guy, move effectively, land the cleaner punches/counter-punches, and defend beautifully.

The only thing GGG did better than Ca$h was jab, come forward all night, and eat punches with his face.

GGG is like a younger Margarito...nothing special there. And Ca$h won that fight 115-113 and maybe even 116-112.

                      Ca$h won 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12 for certain. Other rounds are more debatable
