Do not, under any circumstances, buy a PPV where one of the main event boxers is over the age of 32*. I have studied many sports, and 32 is generally the latest age that an athlete in sports that involve speed will be in their prime. Remember, PPV fights are almost always supposed to be between ELITE, pound-for-pound boxers, but if a boxer is no longer in his prime, it is very doubtful he is still a pound-for-pound level boxer, so what exactly are you paying for then?
In other words, you are being conned. Right now, promoters feel like they can get you invested in a fight during a fighter's prime, then marinate it and promote it for years on end even as that fighter declines, but that you will still buy it at that point because you've waited so long. If fans stop buying fights with old fighters, this will motivate promoters to make the fights when they should happen, when both fighters are 32 years or younger.
Pacquiao's decline started at 32. Al Bernstein, Virgil Hunter, Kelly Pavlik, and many others have all said that GGG is no longer in his prime, that he looks "arm weary" now and "pushes his punches," among other things. Sergey Kovalev's stamina has declined greatly starting at age 32. Offensive boxers who depend on fast, accurate punches, and high output, especially, are almost never in their primes past the age of 32.
More than criticizing judges online, this is the single biggest thing you can do as a fan to actually improve the fights themselves.
* Unless there is no VADA testing for the fight. In that case, then you may still get a fight with prime boxers even if one is 33 years old or older. But in fights with VADA testing, 32 is the absolute latest these fights should happen.
