    Ward's next fight

********** : ANDRE WARD'S NEXT FIGHT TO BE FINALIZED THIS WEEK

ANDRE WARD'S NEXT FIGHT TO BE FINALIZED THIS WEEK
    By G. Leon

GL: Cong**** on your recent victory with Peter Quillin. Can you give us some thoughts on hid performance against Dashon Johnson? I think he did very well considering the opponent. When you look at Dashon's record, he's a battle hardened vetertan who can give anybody a bad night. Pete kept his composure, stuck with the plan and considering how long he's been off he showed some new dimensions to his game and he left me with a real nice blueprint to build on.

GL: When I spoke to Pete he told me he plans to stay busy and fight again in December.

Virgil Hunter: "That is the plan. We're looking to bring him back in December and it shouldn't be a problem because we're not looking to negotiate a big fight. Then depending on how he looks in that one, we'll step it up. I'd like to see him have three more fights before we step it up. If he fights in December, March and then the summer time we should be ready for something big."

GL: Has there been any movement on Andre Ward's next fight since we last spoke?

VH: "Not yet, but something should be finalized this week. When it is I'll call you to let you know."

GL: Will this be his last fight at light heavyweight before moving up in weight to attempt to achieve what some people are going to view as impossible by challenging for the heavyweight championship of the world?

VH: "It's hard to say right now, but like I said we should have something done soon."

Virg never shows his cards so it's impossible to read into this. Hopefully something good but being that he just had back to back fights with a killer, my hopes aren't high.

Hmmm, Adonis fight should be finalized this week also. They should fight the same day as Kovalez-Sharky lol.

Roc Nation trying to leave boxing though right? And Ward not exactly making money for RN with his purse demands.

As far as I know, Stevenson has no firm confirmation for Jack nor Alvarez, he still leaves the window wide open for an Undisputed matchup.
Since the last 3 weeks of failed negociation with Buglioni, what Ward is waiting for? I believe Ward/Hunter knows that the ultimate opponent of choice Stevenson, is still available.
                    Why persisting the duck?
