Comments Thread For: NSAC Head: No Corruption, Byrd Feels Terrible Over Canelo-GGG

Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin did their part Saturday night to make their middleweight showdown a memorable one, putting on the kind of big drama show both had promised. They traded big shots and battled for 12 rounds, and when it was over they leaped into the arms of their corner men, both certain they had won. That the judges ruled it a draw wasn't out of line. It was that kind of fight, a close, tense bout that could have gone either way, but only slightly.

No she doesn't and neither do you. If you felt sorry at all, she would be fired today, but she wasn't because you really don't give a schit. Now stop lying and GTFO!

damn dont degrade and built the women down over it, if thats how she saw it thats how she saw it. I rather they just give her the boot or put her into another job not judging related cause now I feel like she just gonna guess what she thinks people want the scorecards to be.

Byrd was the assigned insurance for the a-side in this fight. It's no use firing her or someone because it's a rotation, in another big fight a different judge will be assigned to influence the fight for the a-side.

I'd pay to watch her watch the fight and break it down.
If she feels terrible and is shattered...the usage of those words to describe another persons emotions suggestion that person knows he/she got it wrong? If she stood by her score I'd feel better.
Is it wrong to draw that conclusion from what has been reported? I mean in general if some says they "feel terrible or are shattered" about something they did, doesnt that imply they are admitting they made a mistake?

If she feels so bad why not have a press conference explaining why she scored the fight the way she did? What is she looking for per round? What was she seeing that Canelo was doing that was so much more effective than GGG?

10 rounds to 2 is absolutely ridiculous and she just put a huge stain on a damn good weekend on boxing.

Teddy Atlas can be an over-the-top fool at times but one thing he said was golden.
How can you judge a fight if you've never "thrown a punch" in the ring.

It'll never happen (boxing reform like Sen. McCain wanted to do years ago), but all judges in boxing should have some background in the sport and Robert Byrd's woman should be banned.
