The common opponent is Clemente Russo, who Ward fought in the 2004 Olympics, and Wilder fought in 2008.

Russo moved up from Light Heavyweight to heavyweight in between.

I'd known of the common opponent, but have never actually gone back and watched the tape (and still haven't as of yet at posting).
