Idk about 1rst step up he didnt sign with a promoter until he had 24 wins and has the best resume in the division. Loma is also the only fighter in history to do that and has 2 gold medals. Its ****** to hold every fighter to that standard especially different divisions and situations.

Wilder already went to Russia to fight Povetkin, as well.

Wilder is clearly not a ducker, and can't be accused of ducking.

Boxing is a harsh business though when it comes to criticism, of fans as well as press.

It can be excessive, but with Wilder it is going to be built in, because he was an Olympian, and the last American to medal even.

So, people have been following him since 2008.

Wilder is still in a privileged class as an American heavyweight champion.

Selling out Barclays Center, while headlining Showtime, is pretty good. Wilder is probably making pretty decent money, relatively speaking. Not on Joshua's level of course, but Joshua has a perfect storm of circumstances going for him.
