Well, one has to make their mind up as to whether Canelo Alvarez's defense or chin is more of a factor to him surviving against power punchers like Golovkin. If it's claimed that Canelo Alvarez has a better defense than Golovkin and Golovkin still is able to absorb punches despite taking more damaging punches compared to Canelo Alvarez whilst Canelo Alvarez deals with those punches with better defense, then the only logical conclusion is that Golovkin must have the better chin. One can't have it both ways!

So if Canelo Alvarez has the better defense and doesn't get knocked out vs Golovkin has a worse defense than Canelo Alvarez and still doesn't get knocked out against common opposition or similar level of opposition, then Golovkin's chin is more of a factor to surviving than Canelo Alvarez who's defensive skills are more of a factor to surviving. Thus, Golovkin's chin would be tested more and has to be thought of as better as a result.

Crawford and Danny fight a lot of smaller opponents. Crawford got rocked by a smaller Gamboa. Danny is definitely up there in terms of chin though. Thurman is solid but got wobbled to the body by Collazo.

anybody would have got hurt from that body shot, but the chin isn't the body

GGG clearly hits harder and walked thru Canelo's shots..Canelo took GGG's but had to sit for a sec after getting hit flush..so its a toss up
