    So Nelo's getting a pass

First of all, I think Nelo is a special fighter and a solid dude, that being said...

I see that most people here question GGG's habilities with many threads when most people just like me, thought he got ROBBED.
Lennox Lewis, Paulie, Badou Jack, Joel Diaz, Crawford, Atlas had GGG winning by 1 or 2 rounds.

I only heard Oscar, Hopkins and Morales having Nelo as a winner lol

I seriously question Nelo's ring IQ, he can't manage his energy properly in a fight. GGG was in control most of the time.

Since Floyd fight, Nelo fought 6 times at a CW and over the 154 limit (Chavez, Angulo, Kirland, Cotto, Lara, Kahn) wich means IMO he wasn't a small guy coming up in weight and has been the biggest DIVA OF ALL TIME in boxing.

Nelo has been pampered at 155 waiting for GGG to age, it wasn't enough so GDP probably payed off a judge.

They will wait for him to be a little bit more battle worn.

Canelo doesn't even want to fight before May wich mean 9 months at least.

Oscar is a POS and Hopkins every day more annoying acting as a company man selling that bs.

Time to question more GDB and Nelo place in boxing than GGG.

GGG has been respecting the sport, he's decorated amateur and pro fighter, not a P4P top 3 but a solid top 10 P4P fighter.

Exactly! Unfortunately, I have encountered too many ******ed boxing fans who lack intelligence to the point where I will have to state that boxing probably has the most ******ed fan base on average compared to any other sport. I seriously can't imagine the absurd criticism and hate which Golovkin receives, if those fans from other sports were instead boxing fans.

Fan boys and haters don't possess any objectivity to provide any constructive and objective criticism.

      That is sick.

Floyd nutthugers are "outta control", because a Canelo win would make Floyd look great and GGG look bad.

      They cVnt.

Anyone that hates on either GGG or Canelo after that fight is an idiot. That's about as good a high-level boxing match as you could ask for. The result is not the fault of either fighter.

And the conspiracy theory stuff is a load of ****. Boxing fans bring it up after every fight. Sure, the sport has a history of corruption. But if you were going to bribe a ref to score a fight in favor of a fighter, you'd probably get them to go 115-113 so it wouldn't look su****ious.

Also, I love how even when he's not in the ring, or involved in a fight, people still can't get over Floyd Mayweather Jr. Guy is haunting some dreams even from retirement.

Everything coming into this fight said GGG was going to be at a disadvantage if it came to a decision.

Too much invested into the future of the 29 year old Canelo with the large Mexican fanbase to topple the apple cart. The casinos were the big winners...nobody bet on a draw. There is no integrity in the sport. Watch what happens to Ortiz vs Wilder now. Without a KO it's pretty hard to beat the meal ticket.

The irony in all of this is the fact that I am myself a Floyd Mayweather Jr fan (not a fan boy), but also a Golovkin fan but I was never ever a fan of Canelo Alvarez and probably never will be.

The problem is that, prior to 2017, Triple G was supposed to be this juggernaut that could fold up anyone in several weight classes.

2 fights later and it's pretty clear the best thing K2 and Sanchez ever did was to keep G the hell away from ANY 168 pounders.

Ironically, while I felt Golovkin lost both of his fights in 2017, they did serve to prove one thing:

                Triple G IS NOT HYPE.

He is indeed an elite fighter and has now proved it against unequivocally elite and near elite competition.

These fights have definitely helped to shore up a legacy that once appeared to be more smoke than fire.

He still needs a clear cut dominant win over an elite guy, but no one can deny he belongs anymore.

Why shouldn't he get a passing friend? I mean the fight was a draw which is kind of like a win when you're expected to lose. I mean the odds were basically 1/1 but you know Golovkin is a killer and a beast so he should be expected to kill his opponent and not fight to decisions.

What world do you live on my friend?
