Oscar Delahoya is couple notches above Canelo

Watching the fight last night made me appreciate Canelo's promoter Oscar more as a fighter. Oscar is a borderline contemporary great but Canelo is far from that. He is very good by today's standards but he is missing that it factor.

Special fighters in their primes always have something up their bag of tricks. When you watched Oscar, you knew that he had a signature left hook that could turn a fight. Special fighters can comeback through adversity as Oscar did against Quartey/Vargas.

Canelo isn't made from that cloth. For somebody who is supposed to be Mexico's most popular fighter, he is pretty fkin weak.

Can't believe this fkin mediocre fighter is a PPV fighter.

Umm those were Oscar's post-prime fights.

We judge fighters for what they accomplished in their primes.

And if you actually watched the second Mosley fight live, you'd know that he got kinda jobbed.

If Spence, Crawford, and Ward are P4P in this era I have no doubt that Oscar would be P4P king in this era.

It is about the mileage on the odometer, not the age of the fighter. Vargas fight was his last hurrah as a close to prime fighter.

If you think he was the same guy against the likes of sturm and Hopkins, you are clearly a boxrec warrior. Lol.
