Why didn't Canelo wear Reyes or Everlast?

Both are probably the "punchers" glove and he went with the "Winning" brand. Aren't they supposed to be more padded and less of a punchers glove than the others?

Considering Canelo's power, why would he want to hinder it in anyway, especially for a mega fight? Imagine the shots he landed on GGG if they were with Reyes or Everlast...

    I agree.

With reyes gloves Canelo would have probably dropped ggg with some of those early body shots he was landing.

Canelo has hurt his right hand in previous fights. He probably didn't want to risk it against GGG.

He injured a knuckle previously and probably wanted to protect it

When he started pro he used to use Reyes a lot but he started having hand problems and changed to winning for a while before everlast.his hand was badly swollen after the chavez that's probably why

I was surprised to see Winning on him as well, it's almost now viewed as the training glove not the fight glove.

Sh^t with how things work today he mighta got paid to wear those gloves. Probably make a extra mill or two. I know if I owned a glove company I'd try to pay the big names in boxing to wear my gloves. Probably just concern for his hands as others have mentioned, but I wouldn't be shocked if he got paid to wear them.

could be but I think he didnt want to risk reinjurying his hands, he hurt his hand for the first time against chavez he he could risk to hurt his hands against golovkin.
